A new report says Samsung will launch the Galaxy S27 series in late January 2027, a month early, with four models including a new S27 Pro, Exynos 2700 chips and Privacy Display on the top two phones.

Samsung could launch its Galaxy S27 series earlier than usual. A new report claims the next flagship lineup will be announced by the end of January 2027 and go on sale the following month, a full month ahead of Samsung's normal schedule.

For comparison, Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026 and released it in March. An earlier S27 launch would shake up the start of the flagship year and put pressure on rivals to move faster too.

Four Models in the Lineup

The report, shared by tipster Debayan Roy, says the S27 series will include four models this time: the Galaxy S27, S27 Plus, S27 Pro and S27 Ultra. That would be a change from recent years, with a new Pro model sitting between the Plus and the Ultra.

The Privacy Display feature, first introduced on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is said to be coming to both the S27 Pro and the S27 Ultra. The feature limits viewing angles so people nearby cannot easily read the screen.

Display

Display sizes in the leak range from 6.3 inches on the standard S27 to 6.9 inches on the Ultra. The S27 and S27 Plus are said to use LTPO M14 2X Dynamic AMOLED panels, while the Pro and Ultra step up to newer M16 panels, all with 120Hz refresh rates.

Performance

The chipset picture is the most surprising part of the leak. Every S27 model except the Ultra is said to use Samsung's Exynos 2700 exclusively, a major shift from the S26 generation, which offered Snapdragon chips across the lineup depending on the market.

The Ultra is expected to offer both the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and the Exynos 2700. All four phones are tipped to run Android 17 with One UI 9 on top.

Camera

On cameras, the S27 and S27 Plus are said to share a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The Pro steps up to a 200MP main camera with a 50MP ultrawide and a 12MP telephoto lens.

The Ultra tops the range with a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. Selfie cameras are tipped at 12MP on the smaller models and 16MP on the Pro and Ultra.

Battery and Charging

Battery sizes grow as you move up the range, from 4,300mAh on the S27 to 4,900mAh on the Plus, 5,200mAh on the Pro and 5,700mAh on the Ultra. Wired charging is tipped at 25W on the base model, 45W on the Plus and 60W on the Pro and Ultra.

Wireless charging is tipped at 15W on the S27, 20W on the Plus and 25W on the Pro and Ultra.

Price and Availability

No prices have leaked yet, and Samsung has not confirmed anything about the S27 series. If the report is right, the announcement will come in late January 2027, with sales starting in February.

Final Thoughts

An earlier S27 launch, a four-model lineup and an Exynos-only strategy for most of the range would make this one of Samsung's boldest flagship moves in years. The Privacy Display spreading to the Pro model is a welcome touch too.
