Redmi K100 China Launch Date Confirmed for October 28 with Snapdragon 8 Elite, 10,000mAh Battery and 165Hz Display
Redmi has confirmed the launch date for the standard K100 in China. The phone will debut on October 28, joining the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max that arrived in August. It is shaping up to be one of the most gaming-focused phones in its price range, with a flagship chip, a super-smooth display and the biggest battery Redmi has ever put in a phone.
Pre-orders are already open in China, and Redmi has also shown the phone in a new Firefly Green color. Here is everything that is confirmed so far.
Performance
The K100 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with Redmi's own D2 display chip. The combination is built for high-refresh-rate gaming, with native support for over 165 frames per second in more than 40 games. Redmi says over 100 more games support frame interpolation on the phone, so fast titles should feel smooth across the board.
Display
The phone sports a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness. Touch response is equally serious, with a 480Hz multi-finger sampling rate and up to 3,500Hz instant sampling, which should help in fast-paced shooters. The phone runs Xiaomi's HyperOS 4 out of the box.
Camera
The K100 carries a dual rear camera setup headlined by a 50MP Light and Shadow Hunter 800 main sensor. The sensor measures 1/1.55-inch with an f/1.68 aperture, which should help in low light. Redmi has also confirmed an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, symmetrical dual speakers with Bose tuning, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Battery
The headline number is the 10,000mAh battery, the largest Redmi has ever shipped in a phone. It supports 100W wired charging, so even a battery this big should refill quickly. For heavy gamers, this is the K100's biggest selling point: a full day of play without hunting for a charger.
Design and Colors
Redmi has shown the K100 with a flat rear panel, a metal mid-frame and a horizontal camera module housing two cameras and an LED flash. The new Firefly Green finish leads the color lineup, and the phone will be available in three colors at launch. Pre-orders are already live through Xiaomi's official channels in China.
Price and Availability
The K100 launches in China on October 28, alongside the Clip Neo open-ear earphones. Redmi has not announced the phone's price yet, and there is no word on an international release so far. Given the K100 Pro and Pro Max reached global markets under the Poco brand, a similar move for the standard K100 is possible down the line.
Final Thoughts
The K100 looks like a focused gaming phone: a flagship chip, a 165Hz display, a giant 10,000mAh battery and fast charging, all wrapped in a clean design. If Redmi prices it close to earlier expectations, it could be one of the strongest value picks of the year. The October 28 launch will confirm the final piece of the puzzle, and we will update this story when the price is official.
