Redmi K100 Camera Details Revealed Before October 26 Launch

Redmi is counting down to the K100 launch in China on October 26, and the company keeps sharing new details about the phone. The latest teasers confirm the camera setup and a premium fingerprint scanner.

The K100 will carry two cameras on the back, led by a 50MP main sensor — Xiaomi's "Light and Shadow Hunter 800" — with a large 1/1.55-inch sensor and a wide f/1.68 aperture. That is a flagship-grade main camera on what is shaping up to be a very aggressive package.

Redmi also confirmed the phone will have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, plus an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner — the faster, more reliable type usually reserved for pricier flagships.

A second teaser post revealed a few more extras: symmetrical dual speakers, seven antennas for stronger signal, and an 0815 X-axis linear motor for better vibration feedback.

What we already knew: the K100 packs a huge 10,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging, a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. It will come in three colors, including a new Firefly Green, and pre-orders are already live on Xiaomi's China website.

With the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max already out since August, the standard K100 looks like the value pick of the family. Full details drop on October 26.
