OnePlus has launched the Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro in China with built-in cooling fans, a 9,000mAh battery, a 185Hz display and a 200MP camera, starting at CNY 4,399.
OnePlus has officially launched the Ace 7 series in China, bringing two gaming-focused phones with a feature you rarely see in a smartphone: a built-in cooling fan. The Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro pair that cooling with huge batteries and very fast displays, and the regular Ace 7 is widely expected to arrive in other markets rebadged as the OnePlus 16R.
Display
Both phones feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED LTPO display with a resolution of 1,272 x 2,772 pixels. The screen runs at up to 165Hz in normal use, but it can reach 185Hz in select games that support it, with up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness, full DCI-P3 color coverage and 3,840Hz PWM dimming.
Performance and Cooling
The Ace 7 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The regular Ace 7 uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series, which shares the same CPU but has a less powerful GPU setup.
To keep those chips cool, both phones include a built-in fan. The Pro model uses a dual-airflow design with two air intakes and two vents placed on the camera island, while the standard Ace 7 uses a single-intake fan.
Camera
Both phones share a 200MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization, plus a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Where they differ is the second rear camera.
The Ace 7 Pro gets a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, which should be far more useful for distant subjects. The regular Ace 7 swaps that for an 8MP ultra-wide camera, so it covers wide shots instead of zoom.
Battery
Battery life is another headline feature. Both phones pack a massive 9,000mAh battery, one of the largest you will find in a mainstream phone today, with 100W SuperVOOC wired charging. That means long gaming sessions should not end early, and a quick top-up gets you back in action fast.
Design and Colors
The Ace 7 Pro comes in Windbreaker, Flowing White and Midnight Black, while the Ace 7 is offered in Quenched, Midnight Black and Streamer White. Both phones use a metal frame with a glass-fiber reinforced plastic back, run ColorOS 17 based on Android 17, and include stereo speakers, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster and Wi-Fi 7.
Price and Availability
The OnePlus Ace 7 starts at CNY 4,399 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model, with higher versions going up to CNY 5,699. The Ace 7 Pro starts at CNY 4,799 for the same base configuration, rising to CNY 7,299 for the top 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model.
Both phones go on sale in China on November 3 through the Oppo online store.
Final Thoughts
The Ace 7 series is a clear statement from OnePlus: gaming phones do not have to compromise on battery, cameras or build quality. The built-in cooling fan is the most eye-catching feature, but the 9,000mAh battery and 185Hz display are just as important.
The Pro model is the one to pick for serious gamers thanks to its stronger chip and telephoto camera, while the regular Ace 7 keeps most of the experience at a lower price.
